Later, you will proceed to visit Kashi Vishwanath Temple and the ghats, crossing the local market (you have to walk through the market for 500–800 meters and a few down steps to reach the ghats), and witness the evening Aarti ceremony on the Ganges, performed daily by a group of priests at the ghat. They perform “Agni Pooja” (worship of fire), wherein a dedication is made to Lord Shiva, River Ganga (the Ganges), Surya (Sun), Agni (Fire), and the whole universe.
